Please read these terms and conditions before completing the equipment hire booking form.
| 1. | The hirer is fully responsible for the safe use of the equipment during the hire period. Any defects or malfunction must be notified to the equipment stores immediately. Guidelines of the use of certain equipment are available upon request. |
| 2. | Outdoor equipment must be used within the guidelines of the equipment stores, the national governing body of the relevant sport and the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority. |
| 3. | It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the equipment is insured against loss or damage as the full replacement value will be charged in these events. A statement of this value may be issued on request. |
| 4. | Nottinghamshire County Council has the right to invoice you the hirer against any equipment returned in a poor or damaged state. |
| 5. | Nottinghamshire County Council will charge at twice the daily rate for any equipment that is not returned by the agreed date. |
| 6. | Nottinghamshire County Council reserves the right to refuse any hire contract where it is of the opinion that a potentially dangerous situation may occur, or that the security of the equipment is compromised. |
| 7. | The minimum hire charge will be £10 for all transactions. |
| 8. | Once the equipment stores has accepted a booking, 25% of the booking fee will be charged in the event of a cancellation. |
| 9. | Cancellations less than 14 days before the hire date will be charged at 50% of the cost of the booking, cancellations less than seven days before the hire date will be charged at the full rate. |
| 10. | In signing this booking form the hirer is agreeing to the above conditions. |
| 11. | Method of payment must be indicated on the booking form before equipment is hired out. |
| 12. | All Advertised Prices are exclusive of VAT. |
| 13. | With all fuel appliances, we provide the gas bottle, or fuel containers but not the contents unless specified beforehand. |
